Chapbook : A small book or pamphlet containing poems, ballads, stories, or religious tracts. In “A Personal Legacy of War,” follow Mac, a philosopher, poet, former Marine Corps Officer, Vietnam veteran, and peace advocate through his early experiences of learning about war from the "old ones" as he eavesdrops on his war-veteran relatives discussing their experiences during World War Two and the Korean War. Fascinated and exhilarated by war, Mac was also wary about its consequences because of what he had heard from his hiding place behind the old green couch. Gain insight into the nature of war as Mac relates his reactions to both his experiences during the war in Vietnam and its aftermath. "A Personal Legacy of War" is both interesting and on point as Mac’s essays and poetry combines the observations and insights of a warrior with the cogent analysis of a philosopher.
